Pine tar distillate, also known as pine tar turpentine is a product obtained by the distillation of pine tar.
The product is composed primarily of phenols, esters, ketones and alcohols.
It is an excellent thinner for pine tar as well as oil based paints and varnishes. The pine tar disttilate also has uses in organic farming, animal husbandry and poultry thanks to its biocidal effects.
